A Village For The Modern Family
“Historically, new parents were surrounded by experienced family and community members. Today, many families navigate postpartum largely on their own. A postpartum doula helps bridge that gap by providing practical support, education, reassurance, and compassionate care during one of life’s biggest transitions.”

“No matter how your family grows, we’re honored to walk alongside you.”
Hey Love,
You have just moved through one of the most
profound transformations a human being can experience.
Birth changes you — physically, emotionally,
hormonally, neurologically. In a matter of moments,
your body, identity, nervous system, and entire
world recalibrate around new life. The early
postpartum period can feel tender, disorienting,
expansive, beautiful, and overwhelming all at once.
At Soft Landing Postpartum, we believe families
deserve to be deeply supported as they transition
through this threshold.
Our role is to help bring softness, steadiness, and
care to the early days and months of parenthood
through thoughtful postpartum support, overnight
newborn care, lactation guidance, and restorative
in-home services designed to help you recover, rest,
and feel held as you settle into your new rhythm.
Because after such a life-altering experience, you
deserve more than survival mode.
You deserve a soft landing.
Creating space for recovery, bonding, and rest.
The early weeks after birth are sacred.
This season in one’s life deserves nourishment, education, practical support, and a village that shows up when it’s needed most. Whether we’re providing overnight newborn care, feeding support, emotional guidance, or simply an extra set of caring hands, our goal is the same:

Our Onboarding Process
We believe postpartum care works best when you already know and trust the people walking alongside you. Our onboarding process is designed to help you feel supported long before your baby arrives.
1. Discovery Call
We begin with a complimentary discovery call to learn about your family, your birth plans, and the kind of support you’re looking for. We’ll answer your questions, discuss your goals, and help determine which services are the best fit.
2. Meet Your Doula Team
Once you’re ready to move forward, we’ll schedule a virtual meet-and-greet with the doulas who are most likely to support your family. Because we are an agency, your care team is assigned based on your schedule, due date, and each doula’s availability. This ensures you always have reliable, consistent support while also getting to know the people who may be caring for your family.
3. In-Home Walk-Through
Before your baby arrives, one of your doulas will visit your home for a prenatal walk-through. We’ll become familiar with your space, learn your routines and preferences, discuss newborn care, feeding plans, and household logistics, and answer any remaining questions. This visit allows everyone to feel comfortable and connected before those first postpartum visits.
4. Welcome to Soft Landing
Once your baby arrives, simply let us know you’re home. We’ll confirm your schedule and your doula team will begin providing the care outlined in your personalized postpartum plan. From your very first shift, our goal is for it to feel like welcoming a trusted friend into your home—someone who already knows your family and is ready to help you rest, recover, and settle into parenthood.
Our team-based model means you’ll always have dependable support, even if your primary doula is unavailable due to illness, vacation, or attending another family. Every doula is thoroughly vetted, trained, and committed to providing the same high standard of compassionate, evidence-based care, so you can feel confident you’re in good hands every step of the way.
-
We understand that every family’s postpartum journey is different. That’s why our contracts are designed to provide both guaranteed support and built-in flexibility as your needs evolve.
A Retainer That Works for You
To reserve your place on our calendar, we require a non-refundable retainer at the time of booking. This retainer is not an additional fee—it is applied toward your final scheduled weeks of care. Rather than paying for your last weeks all at once, your retainer is simply held and used to pay your doula during the final portion of your contract.
Committed + Flexible Care
Every care agreement includes two portions:
Committed Weeks
These are the weeks reserved exclusively for your family. Your doula team blocks off this time well in advance, ensuring dependable support during the early postpartum period when families typically need it most. Because this time cannot be offered to another family, committed weeks are subject to the cancellation terms outlined in your agreement.Flexible Weeks
As your confidence grows and your family’s needs change, the remaining weeks of your contract are intentionally more flexible. You may reduce, reschedule, or discontinue these weeks with advance notice according to your agreement, allowing your care plan to adapt as your recovery unfolds.Personalized Scheduling
No two families need the same level of support. We’ll work together to create a schedule that fits your goals—whether that’s several overnight shifts each week, daytime postpartum care, or a combination of both. Your contract clearly outlines your committed and flexible weeks so expectations are transparent from the beginning.
Our goal is simple: to provide reliable, consistent care while giving families the flexibility they need during one of life’s biggest transitions.
-
We recommend booking during your second trimester, as overnight availability fills quickly. However, we welcome last-minute bookings whenever our schedule allows. Can I hire a doula before my baby is born?
Absolutely. Many families meet with us during pregnancy to create a postpartum plan, prepare their home, discuss feeding goals, and ease the transition into parenthood. -
We strive to provide consistency whenever possible. Because we are a doula agency, you’ll meet your care team before birth and your schedule will be built around the doulas assigned to your family. This team approach ensures dependable coverage if someone is sick, on vacation, or attending another family. -
We thoughtfully match families based on availability, personality, experience, feeding goals, family dynamics, and any specialized support you may need, such as twins, NICU graduates, LGBTQ+ families, or sleep consulting. -
What does an overnight shift look like?
Your doula cares for your baby throughout the night, supports feeding, changes diapers, soothes your newborn, washes bottles or pump parts, and keeps notes on feeds and sleep if requested. The goal is for you to get restorative sleep while knowing your baby is in experienced hands. What do daytime visits include?
Daytime visits are customized but may include newborn education, feeding support, light meal preparation, baby laundry, emotional support, infant care, and practical help around the home related to the baby.Do you support breastfeeding and bottle feeding?
Yes. We support every feeding journey without judgment. Whether you’re breastfeeding, pumping, formula feeding, combination feeding, or working through feeding challenges, we’ll meet you where you are.
Kind Words
Honestly, 10/10 doesn't even cut it for Soft Landing Postpartum and our amazing doulas, Emma and Cindy. Bringing home a newborn is a lot, but they made the whole transition feel so smooth and manageable. They both have this incredible depth of knowledge and exceptional professionalism, but they deliver it with so much genuine warmth. Whether we had questions about sleep, feeding, or just general newborn stuff, they always had the best advice. Most importantly, the way they loved and cared for our little girl was just beautiful. They felt like a natural extension of our family almost instantly, and we honestly can’t picture our daughter’s life without them in it.
We were lucky enough to use them through our Carrot benefits, and the whole process was incredibly easy. If you’re a medical resident with Carrot benefits, do yourself a favor and book them right away. Surviving residency while trying to navigate life with a newborn is no joke, and having Emma and Cindy there to support us meant we actually got to sleep, recover, and feel human. It made a world of difference in helping us show up for our shifts and be present for our baby. We seriously can't recommend them enough! -KD
Doula Robyn provided care for our newborn twin daughters beginning at birth, and we continued to utilize her services for many months to come. In the process, it is no overstatement to say she has become a part of our extended family.
Her deep experience with newborn care allowed my husband and I to rest with such peace of mind while our babies were in her care. Both babies would light up at the sound of her voice by several months of age. She is a calm, deeply capable practitioner.
If you are considering seeking postpartum doula care, I would strongly recommend this group and Robyn in particular! -JH
Honestly I don't know how we would have done this without the support we got from Emma. She has been the relief we needed right after our twins were born and has shown techniques for caring, feeding, burping and pumping along with supplement recommendations that helped dramatically with issues our premie newborns faced. She is punctual and thorough in her night time documentation so you can know exactly how things went for an overnight support visit. I cannot recommend her enough to expectant mothers especially of multiples. - AP
We are forever grateful for the extraordinary care Robyn Jones provided to our family, bringing a sense of serenity, warmth, and expertise that made a profound impact on our postpartum journey. From the moment she arrived, she tenderly cared for our twins, while also supporting me with compassion, guidance, and encouragement, empowering me to navigate the challenges of new motherhood. Robyn's presence became a cornerstone of our daily routine, and her unwavering dedication has left an indelible mark on our hearts. We feel truly fortunate to have had her by our side, and we have no doubt that any family she works with will be equally blessed.

We were lucky enough to have Cindy and Emma as our postpartum doulas and it was a wonderful experience with both. Emma provided daytime care while we had Cindy for nights. It was truly one of the best decisions we could have made for our family. The post partum experience with my second with this extra support was wildly different than with my first. I recommend their services to all of my pregnant friends. My recovery after birth went much more smoothly and I also had a much better breastfeeding journey due to their care and support. I can’t recommend enough! -KL
Robyn Jones was an incredible gift to our family, and we truly can’t recommend her enough.
She is thoughtful, caring, knowledgeable, flexible, and such a calming presence. From the moment she joined us, we felt supported and at ease.
She helped us establish healthy sleep habits, supporting our baby in learning to sleep more at night, and was an incredible resource in my breastfeeding journey—helping troubleshoot both during visits and on her days off.
Robyn helped keep our household running in those early postpartum days. Waking up to an organized home was such an unexpected gift.
Most importantly, Robyn gave us real peace of mind. Knowing our baby was in such capable, loving hands allowed us to get much-needed rest and function during the day. Even our 4-year-old loved her so much that he would “visit” her in the middle of the night just to see her.
Robyn truly loves babies and has a special gift for supporting families through the sleep-deprived newborn stage. As someone with a history of postpartum anxiety, her support significantly improved my mental health and overall postpartum experience. Because of her help, we were able to show up better for our older child and for each other.
We are beyond grateful for the care she provided our family. -SK
I have had an absolute amazing ongoing experience with Emma. We are first time parents to twins and I had a very unexpected sudden requirement for an early cesarean. Emma was so kind and helpful when we were able to bring our first son home from the NICU by helping us at night while I was recovering. She has been so supportive, and focused not only on my son's health and wellbeing, but my own as well. I am delighted that she has been continuing daytime doula services, and it has been genuinely a huge comfort and relief having her be an integral part of our journey. - SM
