Say goodbye to the “sunset scaries”
Bringing home a new baby is one of life’s most beautiful transitions—but it can also be one of the most physically and emotionally demanding. The sleepless nights, constant feedings, recovery from birth, and overwhelming responsibility of caring for a tiny new human can leave even the most prepared parents feeling exhausted.
When you invite Soft Landing into your home, you’re gaining more than a postpartum doula—you’re gaining a calm, experienced presence who is there to support your entire family. While you rest, we care for your baby with loving, attentive newborn care. We soothe, diaper, burp, bottle feed, bring baby to you for breastfeeding, settle baby back to sleep, wash bottles and pump parts, and keep detailed notes of overnight feedings and care. Our goal is for you to get as much uninterrupted sleep as possible while knowing your baby is safe, nurtured, and lovingly cared for.
Beyond newborn care, we provide reassurance, education, and guidance as you learn your baby’s unique cues and rhythms. Whether you’re a first-time parent looking for confidence, recovering from a challenging birth, navigating breastfeeding, caring for twins, or simply longing for more rest, we meet you where you are without judgment.
Many families begin with support 3–7 nights per week and gradually taper as their baby develops more predictable sleep patterns and feeding routines. Most clients choose 6–12 weeks of care, allowing time not only for recovery, but for true healing, confidence-building, and adjustment to life as a family.
Imagine waking up after several hours of uninterrupted sleep. Imagine feeling less overwhelmed, more patient, and more present with your baby. Imagine having someone in your corner to answer questions, offer encouragement, and remind you that you’re doing an incredible job.
This season passes quickly. You don’t have to spend it exhausted and struggling to stay afloat. Let us hold the night so you can focus on what matters most—healing, bonding, and enjoying your baby.
Because every parent deserves support. Every baby deserves a rested caregiver. And every family deserves a soft place to land.
Our overnight postpartum care is designed to evolve alongside your baby’s changing needs and your family’s recovery. We offer flexible 8, 10, and 12-hour overnight shifts, with most families beginning with support 3–7 nights per week during the early postpartum period when sleep deprivation and recovery needs are greatest.
As your baby grows and begins to establish more predictable feeding and sleeping patterns, many families choose to gradually taper their care. A common schedule may begin with 5–7 nights per week in the first few weeks, transition to 3–4 nights per week, and eventually taper to 1–2 nights per week as confidence, routines, and sleep improve.
Most families work with our team for 6–12 weeks, allowing ample time to support maternal healing, newborn adjustment, feeding goals, emotional well-being, and sustainable sleep habits. This continuity of care helps parents feel rested, supported, and empowered rather than simply surviving the newborn stage.
Our goal is not only to help your baby sleep, but to ensure the entire family is thriving. During each shift, your doula provides expert newborn care, feeding support, soothing techniques, bottle preparation, pump part washing and sterilization, overnight logs, and guidance tailored to your family’s unique needs.
Whether you need a few nights of support or several months of comprehensive care, we’ll create a customized plan that honors your recovery, your parenting goals, and your budget.
Because every family deserves a soft place to land.
